2.3.10 – Day 212 Raw
So now I am 24 days post-feast. My system is starting to get used to the idea that it needs to process food again, and I am beginning to notice subtle (and not-so-subtle) changes in me. Physically, I have stayed the same weight. Actually, I’ve lost a few pounds since breaking the feast, which is odd, and am staying between 133 and 135 lbs now. I’d still like to lose 5 more and hover between 128 and 130, but that’s for May, when I do the next (shorter) JF. Mentally, I’ve been more challenged then when I was just drinking juice. My system noticeably slows down whenever I ingest food – the heavier the more slow – and I tire more easily than when I was just drinking juice. I have found my way around a few things that I love to keep myself sort of sane now – mainly, keeping juice as a pretty major part of my diet, and daily enemas. I haven’t seen Annette now since January 13th, because I decided that it was time for me to start spacing the colonics out a bit more. Now I won’t see her until February 17th, and it was too big of a space for me. I’d feel more comfortable going every 3 weeks. That said, I did an hour of power yoga Monday night, and spent 3 hours skiing last night, so I am hardly the same woman that started this feast – not even close. And I am so terrified of ever going back there, that I’m uber-cautious of every morsel that passes my lips. Psychologically it’s actually been a bit challenging to be this thin again. Everywhere I go, people comment, or tell me that I look beautiful, and I find myself starting to focus a bit much on the clothes and the weight – all the external crap that I honestly haven’t cared about since I was in my 20’s. I like looking nice, but don’t like feeling like I’m focusing too much on it – it really isn’t me. Spiritually, it’s been much harder to stay awake for 2 ½ hours every day, and I’m falling asleep more in the chair – which is beyond frustrating, since I am almost at the 10-month mark of 2 ½ hours every day, and falling asleep is not where I want to go. I just never seem to get enough sleep. I feel emotionally happier, though quicker to temper, or tears, or (thankfully) laughter. I don’t feel as “coated” as I was.
This has been (and still is) a massive process for sure.
